Hip Hop Starz Supreme: A high-energy continuation of the fun and physical styles of Hip Hop Dance.  Includes sharp movements, fluid waves, low center, funky, cool music and physical tricks like advanced worms, can opener combinations, advanced stalls, and partner tricks, lifts, and stunts. Music and movements are clean and family-friendly. Recommended for boys and girls ages 10 years and up, no previous dance experience required. Attire: T-shirt or Tank Top, Sweatpants or Shorts (no jeans), Clean Tennis Shoes or Sneakers, long hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or braids.

 

Ballet Starz Mini Supreme: Ballet made fun with a positive, healthy approach to technique, vocabulary, and performance preparation. Leaps, pirouettes, chaines turns, center combinations, with modern ballet music. Recommended for boys and girls ages 5-8 years old, with little or no dance experience.  Attire for Girls: ballet leotard (any color) or dance dress, pink ballet tights, pink ballet slippers, hair securely fastened in a ballet bun. Attire for Boys: white t-shirt or tank top, sweatpants or shorts (any color), black ballet slippers or socks.

 

Ballet Starz Supreme: Level 2 Ballet presented with a positive, healthy approach to technique, vocabulary, and performance preparation. Progression of Intermediate leaps, pirouettes, chaines turns, center combinations, with modern ballet music. Recommended for boys and girls ages 9-12 years old, with one year of ballet training.  Attire for Girls: ballet leotard (any color) or dance dress, pink ballet tights, pink ballet slippers, hair securely fastened in a ballet bun. Attire for Boys: white t-shirt or tank top, sweatpants or shorts (any color), black ballet slippers or socks.

 

Ballet Starz Elite: Level 3 Ballet instruction focusing on more advanced techniques, precision, and aesthetics with a positive, healthy approach to body alignment, clarity of movements, and performance preparation. Advanced center combinations, floor work, footwork and multi-rotation pirouettes with modern ballet music. Dancers will be invited to take the first 30 minutes of the Supreme Class on pointe, with Director approval. Recommended for boys and girls ages 10 years and older, with two years of ballet training.  Attire for Girls: ballet leotard (any color) or dance dress, pink ballet tights, pink ballet slippers, hair securely fastened in a ballet bun. Attire for Boys: white t-shirt or tank top, sweatpants or shorts (any color), black ballet slippers or socks.

 

Lyrical Starz Mini Supreme: Introduction to Modern Dance and Lyrical style exploring weighted movement, leg extensions, fluid movement, floor work, turns, and storytelling through movement and facial expression. Recommended for boys and girls ages 5-8 years old with little or no dance experience. Attire for Girls: Dance Pants and Leotard, or Unitard, Barefoot (footwear will be determined by October). Long Hair must be securely pulled back in a ponytail or braids, Attire for Boys: Sweatpants or Joggers, Tank Top or T-shirt, Barefoot (footwear will be determined by October)

 

Lyrical Starz Supreme: Level 2 continuation of Modern Dance and Lyrical style exploring weighted movement, leg extensions, fluid movement, floor work, turns, and storytelling through movement and facial expression. Recommended for boys and girls ages 9-12 years old with little or no dance experience. Attire for Girls: Dance Pants and Leotard, or Unitard, Barefoot (footwear will be determined by October). Long Hair must be securely pulled back in a ponytail or braids, Attire for Boys: Sweatpants or Joggers, Tank Top or T-shirt, Barefoot (footwear will be determined by October)

 

Contemporary Starz Elite: Level 3 of Modern Dance exploring Contemporary styles. Alignment, shared weight, working off balance and inverted, body articulation and isolation will be developed. There will be an emphasis on choreography, improvisation, and musical interpretation and students will have the opportunity to compete in TWO Improvisation Events in the Spring. Recommended for boys and girls with Director’s Approval. Must have 3 years of dance training and at least one year of Ballet.  Attire for Girls: Dance Pants and Leotard, or Unitard, Barefoot (footwear will be determined by October). Long Hair must be securely pulled back in a ponytail or braids, Attire for Boys: Sweatpants or Joggers, Tank Top or T-shirt, Barefoot (footwear will be determined by October)

 

Jazz Starz Mini Supreme: Level 1 introduction to Jazz style developing basic skills including isolations, across the floor, center combinations, leaps and jumps, single pirouettes and other basic turns. Focus on flexibility and strength to develop the foundation for great dance. Recommended for boys and girls ages 5-8 years old with little or no dance experience. Attire for Girls: Dance Pants and Leotard, or Unitard, Black Jazz Shoes. Long Hair must be securely pulled back in a ponytail or braids, Attire for Boys: Sweatpants or Joggers, Tank Top or T-shirt, Black Jazz Shoes.

 

Jazz Starz Supreme: Level 2 Jazz developing intermediate skills including isolations, across the floor, center combinations, more difficult leaps and jumps, double pirouettes and a’la seconde turns. Continued focus on flexibility and strength to further develop the foundation for great dance. Recommended for boys and girls ages 9-12 years old one year of dance experience. Attire for Girls: Dance Pants and Leotard, or Unitard, Suntan Jazz Shoes. Long Hair must be securely pulled back in a ponytail or braids, Attire for Boys: Sweatpants or Joggers, Tank Top or T-shirt, Suntan Jazz Shoes.

 

Jazz Starz Elite: Level 3 Jazz training including advanced combinations across the floor and center combinations, advanced leaps and jump combinations, triple + pirouettes, a’la seconde combinations, and turn/jump combinations. Flexibility, Core Training, and Endurance focus to allow for exceptional dance. Recommended for boys and girls ages 12 and older with 3 years of dance training. Attire for Girls: Dance Pants and Leotard, or Unitard, Suntan Jazz Shoes. Long Hair must be securely pulled back in a ponytail or braids, Attire for Boys: Sweatpants or Joggers, Tank Top or T-shirt, Suntan Jazz Shoes.
